I'm trying now some new techniques to ween baby off bottles and onto breast, one feeding at a time. We'll see how it goes, and if it makes us all grumpy for a while but happier later on. I've also found out that there's a La Leche League meeting monthly within walking distance from our house! I'll go next week.
Thanks for all the words of encouragement from everyone. I DON'T feel like a completely bad mother, it's just frustrating . . . In a few months I/he/we won't remember any of this, right?
Sounds like you have made some decisions. Yes, things will be better! For all your sakes, I hope it will be more like "in a few days (or maybe a week or two)"! The first couple of months with the first new babe are the biggest life transition one makes: lots of learnings (trials and errors). With the prematurity, you have had an extra long stint with all this, but you are doing well and it WILL get better.
